The First Day of Summer (Solitice 夏至) in Toronto

Toronto is under an extreme heat alert on today’s June solstice-June 20, 2012. Temperatures in much of southern Ontario got up to a high of 34.6°C with a humidex of 43°C. At 34.6 degrees Celsius, Toronto just edged its way past a record set in 1949.
